In 2007, on the heels of the first ever AmCham Aerospace Forum Golf Day, event organizer Martin Lin, of Rockwell Collins, recognized in Avid Golf an opportunity to take their event to the next level. Wanting to spend more time on the course and less time worrying about how the event was running, the Aerospace Forum was looking for help with:
- Securing a Saturday course that was up to standard
- Providing elements that would set the event apart
- Organization that would insure the long-term viability of the event
Avid Golf:
- Secured the necessary agreements from Greg Norman-designed Top City Golf Club
- Managed invitation and backdrop designs and production
- Arranged daytime F&B, including a BBQ on-course
- Supplied models to handle service requirements during cocktail hour
- Wrote press release which was forwarded to a number of industry related media
- Provided Aerospace Forum organizers an opportunity to relax and play golf
Ultimately Avid Golf allowed 2007 organizers, who are also players, an opportunity to arrive at the course and concentrate on Special Guests and Golf.
